Current Job Ad dated 28 2 2022

We are seeking multiple clinicians to add to our team. While Napier House is a new business, our presence in Bendigo and the surrounding area is not. Our sister business, Clinical Psychology Victoria, comprises a team of highly respected Clinical Psychologists. They have been working for over a decade now to provide quality therapy and assessments in our region. We have made the decision to build a new business, creating a clinical psychology arm and an assessment, therapeutic support arm to our service. The assessment and therapeutic supports arm will be known as Napier House and is situated right next door to our psychology practice, on Napier Street, White Hills. The new business will also allow us to diversify our team and bring on board General Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Psychosocial Recovery Coaches. We highly respect the contribution each of these professions makes to the assessment and therapeutic process and cannot wait to broaden our team.

So this is where you come in….

About Us

Napier House is located in the thriving regional city of Bendigo, Victoria. We prioritise connecting as a team and never want to grow so big that we forget who we are or where we came from. At Napier House we have deliberately created a relaxed, warm and friendly environment for our staff and clients, but we take our work very seriously. Often our clients have come to us after years of trialling medications and other services with limited or no success. We pride ourselves on having a curious, problem solving approach, with the hope that we will be able to find the underlying answers to why they have struggled for so long. At Napier House we believe strongly in the importance of a work-life balance and building a space where you love to come to work. We value being responsive to our staff and clients needs, and taking time out to bond as a team.

At Napier House we focus on developmental assessments, psychosocial recovery, speech and occupational therapy. Our Developmental Assessment Clinic (DAC) offers assessments to clients of a range of ages and presentations. We offer assessments for Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Specific Learning Disorders, Developmental Speech and Language Disorders, and other presentations such as giftedness or co-occuring clinical disorders.

As we value teamwork and active participation in our close-knit organisation, we work in closely with the clinical psychologists next door at Clinical Psychology Victoria. We value creativity, curiosity, and divergent thinking. Having a close-knit team is important to us and something we want to retain as we grow. We work towards this goal by collaborating with each other and taking advantage of a multidisciplinary approach. We believe this not only provides support to one another, but offers the opportunity for growth and development of our own clinical skills.

Each of the positions will be available in either a full time or part time capacity. You can tailor which referrals you accept, meaning you can choose the age group you work with (children, adolescents, adults), their diagnoses (e.g. ASD, ADHD, Intellectual Disability), and whether you want to do assessment, therapy or both.

A passion for working with people who are neuro-diverse is going to be key to this role. Clinical Psychology Victoria has developed a strong identity around undertaking assessments for neurological-diversity and providing a therapeutic environment that caters for those on this spectrum. As our clients have built trust in our service, they would really appreciate being able to engage with other services they require in a familiar environment. Much of our work will be NDIS funded, however, some clients will also self-refer.

What can we offer you?

  • Flexible work hours, locations, work from home opportunities and a case load tailored to your strengths or professional development
  • A passionate, diverse, fun, supportive and creative multidisciplinary team around you who genuinely care about your well being and are there to support as needed

  • We will fund relevant Professional Development opportunities
  • A management team who works to get to know you, your needs and career aspirations so that they can support you to meet your career needs and goals
